Personalized Men's Bronze Bark Necklace - Bronze and Oxidized Sterling Silver - Special Edition Earth Day Necklace

This men's special edition Earth Day necklace is being sent to select earth conscious celebrities. A hand made, solid and pure golden bronze tree bark dog tag hangs on a sterling silver black oxidized chain. This makes for a rich and earthy contrast. Personalize this piece with up to 3 initials on the front in the eye of the tree knot or a date, name or very short message on the back. This piece is custom made to order.

The finished pendant is approx 22mm wide x 40mm tall. The standard length chain in a 2mm solid sterling silver oxidized or bright silver 20" with lobster clasp.

How it's made:

It starts as a bronze clay that can be molded, stamped and textured in any way imaginable. All materials are 100% eco-friendly and recycled metals. I roll the clay and weigh it for a uniform size. I roll it and press and bark texture into the clay, drawing texture lines as needed. I can now cut the textured bark in the shape of a modern dog tag. No 2 pieces will ever be the same. It will be perfectly imperfect with raw edges and a rustic, old world feel with texture lines. I then let it dry, sand it to smoothness, and fire in a kiln for approx 9 hours. Once fired, it is solid, pure bronze. I then wire brush it, file and sand it some more. It's rustic appearance comes from a hand hammered texture I create with a texturing hammer in strategic places and when I'm happy with the texture I oxidize the piece to leave dark in the low areas and to highlight the high areas. Finally it goes in a tumbler for a final glimmering polish and to add extra strength. Long 2-3 day process, Yes. But sooooo worth it!!
